The image was commissioned by Mr. Ivan Žnidar, born on May 19, 1920, in Suhadole. He married Veronika Žnidar, née Zavrl, who was born on January 19, 1927, in Mavčiče near Kranj. They got married on April 27, 1952, in the church of Nuestra Señora de la Guardia in Florida. They were married by Father Albin Avguštin.

When they were preparing for their wedding, Mr. Ivan Žnidar commissioned the image from Mr. Ivan Plahuta. The painter and sculptor Mr. Ivan Plahuta painted the image in 1951 in Argentina.

The family still lives today in the suburb of Buenos Aires, in Carapachay, Argentina.

They maintain beautiful Slovenian traditions; all family members gather and actively participate in the Slovenian community in Argentina.

With the awareness that Mary Help of Christians always protects and accompanies them on their life journey, they pray the rosary daily and regularly.

Last year, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
